Girl Knows Sports host, Macy Ray, did competitive cheerleading growing up, but fell in love with more than just the sport. She thrived in the competitive environment and gained an understanding of how sports bring so many people together.

While studying Communication and Journalism at the University of Arkansas, Macy was drawn more towards the story side of sports, and a dream was born. She realized there is more of a story to sports than a championship or a ball being thrown, and she wanted to be the one to tell those stories.

She recognized that many of her girl friends didn’t understand sports; they were just there for the tailgate... and honestly, Macy kind of was too. This realization led to the creation of Girl Knows Sports, a place where girls can learn about sports, get all the hot tea and drama on what’s going on in the sports world, and feel confident enough to insert themselves in a space that is dominated by men.
